WHAT'S NEW?

CITY OF MITH COOL COMIC BOOK CHARACTER SMARTYCUS
CITY OF MITH COOL COMIC BOOK CHARACTER SMARTYCUS

IS CITY OF MITH APPROPRIATE FOR ALL AGES?

The language, themes, situations, and content of our comic books are about what you might find in an hour of network primetime television, a PG-13 movie, or on basic cable. To ensure what might be appropriate for your child we suggest you read the issue first and if you deem it unsuitable for him/her, just hold on to it until you feel they are mature enough. We have a 12+ rating on comiXology and encourage all parents to look at their guidelines.

WHAT IS comiXology?

ComiXology is a really cool online comic book shop where you can purchase a wide variety of titles, including City of Mith. It’s sort of like an Amazon Kindle Store but just for comic books and graphic novels.

WHAT MAKES IT SO COOL?

You can get City of Mith formatted for iPad, PC, Android Tablets, and virtually any other device and they have Guided View Technology on many of them.

WHAT’S GUIDED VIEW TECHNOLOGY?

It provides an awesome comic reading experience. You can set it to go panel-by-panel. Each panel will be automatically enlarged to full-screen or nearly full-screen. With just a tap or swipe you go to the next panel. It can easily be set for traditional reading format as well. We really like the versatility.

HOW DO I GET comiXology?

On our COMIC SHOP page click the BUY ON COMIXOLOGY link to go to the City of Mith page on comiXology. If you have an account you can buy it right there. If not, it will give you instructions to getting an account. And if you have an iPad or other tablet you can get their App for free. It’s similar in function to iBooks but for comics.

DO YOU HAVE ANY FREE CONTENT?

Yes! You can read our free preview mini-issue City of Mith #0 on our website and Facebook page. And you can even get it in full page comic book form in a PDF on GUMROAD.

WHAT IS GUMROAD?

Gumroad is really cool.  They process payments similar to PayPal, but Gumroad also handles sending you an email with a download link after your purchase.  They can even keep track of your purchases if you sign up.  The sign up information is pretty light.  Just type your email and create a password.  PLEASE NOTE:  The charge on your card statement will appear as GUMROAD (NOT Ruxunn or City of Mith).

WHAT DO I GET IF I BUY AN ISSUE (OR MANY ISSUES)?

Once you open the email from GUMROAD, you'll see a DOWNLOAD link.  Click it and your default file downloader will open, asking where you want to save it.  Pick where, save, and read the issue using iBooks, GoodReader, Acrobat, or some other PDF reading software.
PLEASE NOTE:  Depending on your browser preferences, it may automatically download to your DOWNLOADS folder.  It may open the PDF automatically, it may not.

I THINK IT DOWNLOADED, BUT I'M NOT SURE, WHAT NOW?

If it seems like it downloaded just do a search for "CityOfMith" (but don't type the quotes).  With so many possible settings on many devices with several browsers available, we can't possibly know how yours is set up.  But here's the cool thing -- you can  hit the download link (before it expires) in your email again if you can't find it after doing a search.

IS CITY OF MITH AVAILABLE IN STORES?

Right now, no. But we’re working on it. Customer demand always helps, so tell your favorite comic shop they’ve got to stock City of Mith and have them get in touch with us.

Glad you asked!  It's based on our movie script entitled, MITH.  When we finished writing it, we felt there was still a lot of story left to explore.  With Apollo being an avid comic book reader as a kid, the shift to comic books was a natural process.  We get to tell more stories and delve even deeper into the lives of all our characters... with all the suspense, action, and intrigue that won our screenplay an award.

HOW DID YOU GUYS COME UP WITH THE PREMISE FOR CITY OF MITH?
